As Ontario continues to grow, protecting areas like the Greenbelt become even more important. Future generations deserve, and need, access to these areas of natural space. Not only is it in people’s best intersects, but it is an essential component of maintaining the health of the ecosystems and watersheds that surround the GTA.
More affordable housing comes from effective redesign of improperly
used land already in use in cities - not by continuing a rampant surge of urban sprawl, destroying numerous ecosystems, nor by building on an unstable flood plain.
