Removing land from the Greenbelt will only have negative effects on climate change and the homes built in the Greenbelt would be at risk of flooding and destruction. We don't need more homes built, we need to address the extreme inflation in the housing and rental market that leads homes to sit empty because people can't afford them. In addition, any new home builds would not be protected by rent control making them unaffordable to the average citizen anyways.
