Repealing the Green Energy Act without having a viable plan to replace it is Ill advised. Pulling a support without having something in its place causes the thing being supported to collapse . We can't afford to have the environment to collapse. "The Environment" isn't some concept of nature and green things "out there". We literally live in the environment and allowing people to pollute our homes, our businesses, our shared spaces is a ridiculous idea. By removing the Green Energy Act without a replacement is inviting people into all of our homes to toss garbage on our floors and spew exhaust into or air.

I want a strong environmental plan that will be enforced. I want a plan that will reduce fossil fuel emissions. I want a plan that creates jobs to support clean energy initiatives. I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions. I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
