Repeal Bill 23.
Do not develop any land in the Greenbelt.
Restore the powers of the Conservation Authorities. We need them to ensure that environmentally sensitive land is protected and to ensure that housing is not built on floodplains or other inappropriate areas.
Urban sprawl is not the way to go in this time of climate change. It not only destroys green space and farmland but causes increased reliance on cars and highways which leads to more climate change.
Allow municipalities to establish their urban boundaries.
Rely on the expertise and knowledge of urban planners, Conservation Authorities, and local politicians and citizens, not on self interested developers.
There is already some land available for development and we need to increase density within municipalities. Build up not out.
