This is an absolutely terrible idea, and I am deeply disturbed you're considering it. Destroying protected areas in the name of development should be illegal, I can't believe governments are allowed to just remove these kinds of designations. There are many many ways to increase housing availability in our province, and it's not by rolling back environmental protections that are in place for good reason. Expand by denser housing in cities and urban areas, prevent more monstrous single dwelling homes from being built while many others sit empty, create affordable housing initiatives within existing municipal limits instead of continuing to sprawl outward. You have so many options to improve housing access in Ontario, don't take the slimy, money-greedy way which we know will benefit the few, and take something vital away from the masses.
