I am completely opposed to the proposed changes to the opening up of greenspaces for development. I'm also opposed to the designation of 7,000 acres of land around Erin which would occur without consultation with the Erin municipality government.
In 2018, Doug Ford made a promise to Ontarians that he would not allow development on greenspaces and we expect him to keep that promise. Once those spaces are gone, they're lost.
I am joining the petition to launch an inquiry into the proposed developments and land redesignations and how developers made land purchases and secured loans on undevelopable properties just months before changes were proposed.
