I think it’s disgusting that…

I think it’s disgusting that Ford’s government lied to the people of Ontario about protecting the greenbelt for future generations and that private developers will make billions from the plan to build more homes on this invaluable land.
Build up, not out. It’s costs more and requires greater expertise to build in developed areas but the infrastructure already exists. The pollution that will be created by paving over green space is unconscionable and the poor and homeless will not see any improvement to their lives.
We were lied to by this government and it’s transparent that private developers and politicians will reap the financial benefits while causing irreparable harm to our environment and the middle class.
This is another example of the corruption and cynical governing this party clearly feels is reasonable and they have no compunction stealing from taxpayers, past and present while destroying any chance of making smart, informed choices. We are choking on luxury homes and more will be built if this goes through.
