I oppose the proposal to remove 7,400 acres of land from the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is protected land for a reason, a reason which remains highly relevant today. In addition, the proposed plan is unlikely to produce any additional affordable housing, making that rationale weak, particularly when there are other evidence-based ways to improve affordable housing.
