This is alarming from both an environmental perspective, as well as a democratic perspective. The Greenbelt has been preserved for a reason and it must remain untouched. As we all stare down the barrel of terrifying food prices, now more than ever we must preserve our provinces ability to create food and maintain a healthy ecosystem. Secondly, I refuse to allow an elected official to make an election promise that they will not touch the Greenbelt, and then have them turn around and develop it. It’s a slap in the face to every one of us that trusted and voted for you. It cannot stand. It cannot move forward.
