I am deeply disturbed at the proposed changes to the greenbelt!
The greenbelt was created to protect the precious and sensitive environmental spaces from destruction!
The excuse that this land is needed for homes is NO excuse, make NO mistake, the only homes that will be built on the greenbelt will be luxury homes for wealthy people!
Ontario already has enough spaces of land suitable for the purpose of housing of all types.
Once these green spaces and farmland are paved over they are gone forever and will rob future generations of all the environmental, physical and mental health benefits of these wonderful places!
The people of Ontario deserve to have the greenbelt preserved and protected!
Ontarians deserve to have farmland and the food that is grown on the land protected from urban encroachment!
I loathe the Doug Ford government for this horrible, destructive and cruel scheme
