The greenbelt should be protected and not opened up for development. If anything additional lands should be added not removed. There are other ways to build affordable housing that have not been explored. Municipalities have developed thoughtful plans for development and they should be left alone. There is tons of development occurring right now. There's no shortage of new homes coming on the market and future space already allotted for more development. I see nothing here that will ensure the prices of homes come down or that ensures more affordable housing will be available. Time to revisit this decision because as far as I can see the only people that are happy with it are the developers that will profit if this bill passes
