ALL GREENBELTS and CONSERVED LAND should be permanent.
There is no hint of permanency when the Provincial Government takes a piece of green belt and adds to somewhere else or makes a swap. Such a process if enacted would only justify repeating the process. Making changes to the greenbelt by the Provincial Government makes a mockery of the reason we have greenbelts in the first place.
ALL GREENBELTS and CONSERVED LANDS are prime lands for unaffordable housing.
ALL GREENBELTS and CONSERVED LANDS are in the jurisdiction of the Municipalities and the Provincial Government should not interfere of dictate. It is time for the Provincial Government to engage the Municipalities in meaningful discussion.
