I am writing to you to express my concern for Bill 23. From what I understand, this means an 80% tax increase on properties which is an egregious overstep taken by the provincial government. The Markham City Council has firmly rejected this bill but that does not mean that it will not be implemented. As representatives of Markham, the council has put forth their discontent with the bill. I would like to understand what actions my local MPP is taking to combat this bill.
