I oppose the removal of Greenbelt lands in the Oak Ridges Moraine as per my comments under ero 019-6216. To re-iterate in part, it is not in the public interest to remove these lands. If the purpose of developing these lands is to provide affordable housing, this has not been addressed by the government. 80% of market value of a GTA home is approximately $800,000 which is still not affordable to those making the most typical earning of about $62,000/year. Concerns affecting housing supply that need to be addressed by the government are supply chain issues, lack of trained tradespeople, rent control, land speculation and investors scooping up new homes to name a few.
