I do not support your government's choice to go against your own Housing Affordability Task Force's advice to increase density within urban boundaries rather than increase the sprawl of our cities. Instead of paving over sensitive land on important waterways, I request that you allow homeowners and developers "as of right" to build "residential housing up to four units and up to four storeys on a single residential lot," as recommended by your task force, in addition to the other strategies outlined, focusing on using our urban land more efficiently for the sake of preserving our local ecology.

Minimizing the risk of flooding and other ecological damage involves minimizing the urban sprawl that covers sensitive, valuable, productive land.
