I disagree with opening or changing the existing plan. I live in Mimico- one of the fastest developing areas. Condos are everywhere but still built as a commodity and not to make livable neighbourhoods. Nearby towns and cities are no better, where you have to drive everywhere. Continuing the sprawling of houses into precious green space is not the solution. We can’t indefinitely keep building over land in such an unsustainable way. Our politicians have to stop supporting such unliveable neighbourhoods and find better solutions. Canadians are huge energy consumers. We need less of us living so large -if populations continue to increase, we must find ways to do it that lowers each individual’s carbon footprint. Please protect our green spaces. Nothing is more precious. Once it is gone you can’t get it back. Seven generations.
