I am very concerned over the changes that the provincial government is proposing under Bill 4, the Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018.

Leadership is required from the government to address the very real and pressing challenges presented by climate change. I would like the govenment to demonstrate this leadership by doing the following:

- support a real climate change plan that would reduce emissions, assist individuals with saving energy, and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy.
- put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
- establish legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
- set a goal of Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050.
- end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
