Dear Mr.Ford,

I am writing to express my concern over your plans to open the protected Greenbelt. This land that has been set aside for preservation should NOT be opened up for development. Given our current, extreme, climate crisis, a solution to affordable housing should not be to expand onto new land. I have seen no effort on you or your parties part in inquiring into methods to solve the housing crisis without having a negative impact on the environment. You cannot simply take one piece of land away and replace it with another. That is not how land preservation works. I am extremely concerned for my future with the rise of global temperatures, and your plans to open up the protected land only heightens that anxiety. Please, I am asking you to re-evaluate your plan, and to look into more sustainable solutions. If you have any respect for yourself and your future on earth you will take more time to prioritize environmental policies.
