To whom it may concern

Hello, I’m a grade 8 student and i am concerned about the greenbelt. If we even take down half of the greenbelt it will not come back even if we tried. We would cause more pollution than we need right now including more greenhouse gases and even maybe threaten some species. You would cause some animals to migrate as well if you take down and develop half of the land. You might destroy the purpose of the greenbelt:
Water sources to people
Keeping a green environment
Tourism
Cleaning the environment and creating more oxygen
Creating an ecosystem for animals and plants

Those are the reasons for greenbelt and how we can solve those problems by building up like New York city or building down like London or you can combine these to build up and down.
