Dear Ontario government…

Dear Ontario government members and representatives,

Please do not make any changes or amendments to the greenbelt.

This is critical land that must be protected. This green space, farmland, forests, wetlands, and watersheds, are needed now and in the future. Climate change is already happening, and the greenbelt is fundamental to mitigating climate change impacts here locally. This land is needed for farming, protecting habitat and species either endangered or at risk.

Additionally, this green space is needed for our own wellbeing now and in the future.

Premier Ford made a promise in 2018 that he would protect the Greenbelt. I ask you keep that promise.
