Professional Engineers Ontario, the body authorized by the Legislative Assembly to regulate the practice of professional engineering in Ontario, requests an extension of the comment period to provide more detailed regulatory analysis as it applies to regulating the practice of professional engineering in O.Reg. 260/08 (Performance Standards for Record of Site Conditions)
Professional engineers are included as Qualified persons under O.Reg. 153/04 and as referenced in O.Reg. 406/19.)
As a co-regulator in this area of practice, we need more time to legally review the implications of changes to O.Reg. 406/19.
