Hello,

I oppose the idea of this project. Experts in many fields agree that this will have a devastating impact on wildlife, but also on health. It will also continue to contribute to the worsening of climate change and global warming with the addition of a new highway. I understand that it is proposed with the aim to address the current housing crisis. However, there is a significant lack of evidence that the homes built from this project will be affordable or accessible to low-income Canadians, who are currently struggling the most. This will worsens the issue of inequities. With the current raises in food prices, this project will further worsens the food cost as it cuts through valuable agricultural land which supplies much of Ontario with produce - this could have a detrimental effect on food prices in an already unaffordable province. It is shown that many unintended consequences are known, but being actively ignored by those wishing to proceed with this project. I am hoping a more deep consideration will be put in in thinking about the impact of this initiative. Thanks.
