Hi,

I understand the housing crisis is an important one, we desperately need more homes (especially subsidized and coop residences) but not at the cost of the greenbelt. It’s been protected for so long and now we decide to threaten it? If this bill passes it completes devalues our “protecting it.” This bill will become grounds to pass more like it until nothing is left from the greenbelt. Social and ecological issues must go hand in hand if we want any hope to solve the latter. Instead of expanding we should be densifying, encouraging people to divide their properties, build duplexes/townhouses or low-rise multi-unit homes. I am unconvinced that you have tried to come up with alternatives to this; you really should. sacrificing the greenbelt should be a last resort (and even, technically, not a resort).

I beg you to reevaluate the consequences of this bill. Please do not do this.

Thank you
