The people of Ontario have, and continue to, express their opposition to any incursion into the Greenbelt.
These amendments and other anti-environmental legislation being brought forward by Doug Ford's Government represent the worst sort of political corruption, overriding the general will of the electorate in order to enrich Ford's political "friends".
Our Greenbelt was established after extensive research and expert consultation in order to protect the long-term health of our environment and population. In my view it is criminal to begin the undoing of this prodigious legislation for the short-term gain of a few.
