Climate change is the greatest threat currently facing humanity. It is morally reprehensible not to mention economically idiotic, to cancel our climate policy initiatives in Ont. we should be planning for a carbon neutral economy by 2050, by transition to clean electricity generation- and not just nuclear. Wind and solar have je possibility to create many jobs for people in this province. Cancelling the electric car rebate was also shortsighted. We need to be getting people off of fossil fuels and honouring our business commitments- such as the German wind turbine contract that was cancelled. Pricing carbon, investing in carbon neutral sources of energy, and transportation are important for our plant, our society, and our economies. The world is moving forward on these initiatives, and the economics of being left behind is bad for ontario's economy and a betrayal to voters. Invest in public transit. Invest in better green building standards. Invest in green energy. Invest in a climate change pricing policy, or Ontario will suffer competitively.
