I live in the worst flooded area in the GTA, Rockcliffe-Smythe. A flooding mitigation plan for Black Creek has been in the works since abt 2012 or longer. The current plans from the TRCA are not fully funded and the Provincial government has not committed any funding for this project. The flood water where I live is highly toxic with an extremely high amount of raw sewage. 2 people nearly drowned in 2018 while stuck in an elevator. The damage to properties is extensive. Hwy. 413 and Bill 23 are terrifying for people who live around this area. Please do not build on the Greenbelt as well. We cannot take any worse flooding. The current TRCA plans for flooding mitigation will not help us enough even if fully funded if you continue along this route. This link will show you how bad the flooding is west of Jane Street in Smythe Park, Toronto. Link to video https://youtu.be/qNwabri0SQw The flooding is a health and safety issue to those who live there and is killing off both flora and fauna. The people who's homes are just upstream have suffered a great deal with continued flooding. I have attached a picture for you to view. Every part of the Greenbelt is working to prevent flooding so please do not build anywhere on it. Thank you
