I oppose this proposal.
It’s clear the government worked with developers who have purchased land with advance knowledge. Only developers will win here. We need density within existing boundaries. This government should be working with municipalities to help incent developers to build affordable homes and contribute to the overall town infrastructure (parks etc). Build up, not out. Where will our children and young people live? Make new walk friendly neighborhoods. We don’t need more huge homes, where you have to drive to get anywhere. We also need more rentals, especially in York Region.
Doug Ford is a disappointment reneging on his promise to not touch the green belt. I have no confidence in nor respect for, our MPP Paul Calandra who is nothing but a yes man to the Premier.
Let’s govern for the future citizens and not for greedy developers and their buddies.
