I find that this proposal by the Ford Government is despicable. One of the key campaign promises of Ford was to save the Greenbelt, in its entirety, from development. Instead of redeveloping for more houses which inevitably would be bought and rented out, for rents not subject to rent control (another terrible idea by the Ford Government, by the way), the best thing that Ford can do with this budget is invest in the crumbling healthcare and education systems. We have seen countless situations that show Ford does not care about Ontario, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
