This bill is disgusting, greenbelt is PROTECTED lands. That means they aren't to be touched, especially with this cup game of adding parcels elsewhere. Developers pitched this idea to the PC government years ago and started buying the greenbelt land and stand to gain billions while it won't help affordable housing because of the type of homes they are building. Using the federal immigration numbers to back this bill is disgraceful also, Hamilton voted down sprawl and showed many ways in which we could meet your inflated population trajectory without it, but your still taking away municipalities power and forcing this on them which will cause current tax payers an unreasonable tax hike. Which coincidentally will just add to people being displaced from their homes and continuing to line the pockets of real estate agents and developers. This is so disgusting that bill 23 was even written giving all the prosperity to the mega rich and paving over farm lands and our futures. You should all be ashamed. Greenbelt was made protected lands 20 years ago, what is it saying to our children and the future if we're considering opening up these lands all for the profit of few. Short term thinking makes long term deficits. The environment, and climate change needs to be considered while.making these plans and yet you're sticking with models and plans that look like we are still in the 1980s. This is corruption at its finest when government is in bed directly with private enterprise and its coming off the backs of everyday people and the environment. This bill shouldn't have been written let alone passed. SHAME
