This is the undoing of many who have had the wisdom of foresight and bravery to preserve the Greenbelt in the first place. This is undoing of Reconciliation, of conserving and preserving the land so that the country may persists in how it is perceived in the global imagination. How are we going to give back the land to the True Stewards of it when we have tarnished its value? There is no reciprocity, no relationship to the earth if we continue to misuse it so for the rich and powerful. The land must be reserved so it can do what it does best: keep us alive. Let's use our creative thinking in solving the housing crisis, so that Canada can actually be home to those Canadians who don't have one. Think this through.
