As a resident of Ontario, the move to redesignate green belt land to allow developers to build homes is an absolutely bad idea, we should be focusing on densitification and not sprawl. We have plenty of places in each respective city in Ontario to build more homes there is no need to use up rare and protected farmland to do this.
It is also extremely shocking to hear of all these developers buying land as late as September knowing that the government would try to redisignate the land.
I'm writing to tell you to please not change the land designation.
