Rescind Bill 23.

The Greenbelt must remain intact in perpetuity. The Greenbelt is a natural asset critical to the health of everyone in Southern Ontario. We depend on quality water in our urban rivers and rich agricultural land for food growing. We must also protect the many species of wildlife who inhabit the The Greenbelt.

Creating more urban sprawl is a misguided policy direction. We must intensify by building up and not out and within existing urban boundaries where there is access to transportation and services. The government's own Housing Task Force stated there is "no shortage of developable land in Ontario."

More sprawl is completely irresponsible given the climate crisis we are facing globally.

There is no evidence that Bill 23 will address the lack of affordable housing - a critical issue for many families in Southern Ontario.

As an Ontario taxpayer, I do not want my tax dollars spent to subsidize builders.

Over the past several weeks, there have been numerous protests and petitions signed denouncing Bill 23.

I want Premier Ford and the Conservative government to listen to the citizens of Ontario and rescind Bill 23.
