I am against this proposal…

I am against this proposal. I haven’t heard any good reasons why land should be taken from the Greenbelt to be developed, but there are many good arguments about why we should NOT take land from the Greenbelt.

I would like to hear more from the government about these points specifically:

1. Does adding Urban River Valleys to the Greenbelt add to the amount of protected land in Ontario? My understanding is those lands cannot be developed anyways due to flood risk, etc.

2. Is it true that there are already 88,000 acres of land in the GTHA that are already designated for development? How many people could be housed on those lands?
