Is it not a better option to repurpose former industrial land (GM site on Ontario St in St Catharines for 1 example) or look at building high density buildings in place of run down neighborhoods (anywhere along Barton St Hamilton)? Why destroy irreplaceable farm land? Stop making this about the easier money and use what has already been lost before taking more. Cost of living is out of control and we are losing crop lands making use dependent on foreign countriesties to keep us fed, it's ridiculous.
