I am UTTERLY OPPOSED TO ANY REMOVAL OF LANDS FROM THE GREENBELT.
Premier of Ontario, PLEASE KEEP YOUR PROMISE to NOT TOUCH the Greenbelt
Your own government consultants have made it clear that Greenbelt lands are NOT needed for Housing.
Building on unserviced Greenbelt will ONLY make Millionaires and Billionaires richer. They will not solve the Affordable Housing crisis
The Greenbelt lands were so designated after extensive and intensive scientific studies and public consultation
Adding already protected River Valley to the plan MUST NOT be used to justify removals of lands from the Greenbelt
There is also NO JUSTIFICATION for adding the Paris Galt Moraine
Bill 23 will also usurp: Farmlands, Food Security, Green Infrastructure benefits. It will also further threaten ENDANGERED SPECIES.
BIll 23 will betray ALL FUTURE GENERATIONS of Canada and of the world.
We NEED: Affordable housing within current urban boundaries, and with easy access to public transport lines - compact communities: BUILD VERTICALLY, NOT HORIZONTALLY.
