I can't accept anything less than a genuine plan that will reduce emissions, help everyone save energy and as a result, help to create jobs in the multi-trillion dollar economy that revolves around clean living.

Polluters have to pay for their emissions, there is no other practical way to make them change their wretched habits. It's not like I hear about polluters being caught and made to change their ways with fines or any other penalties. Use the money that comes from these polluters. to give back to the citizens of Ontario and assist them to cut their carbon footprint.

I want to see Ontario respect the Paris Climate Agreement and enact legally binding, short-dated targets for reduced emissions.

And just quit subsidizing fossil fuel industries, making it easy for those companies and stop giving them money! They make an appalling fortune as it is, and they always say that every serious 'accident' that ruins the environment is one of a kind and that they will learn from it. But they don't learn a thing. And these events are not accidents, they are simply waiting to happen, they're inevitable! Put the money that might have gone toward such subsidies toward energy that's clean and nonpolluting instead.

Make Ontario a showcase. Make it the cleanest place to live, a place that gets the energy it needs from clean energy generation with a firm deadline, say, not later than 2055. I won't be alive to see that, but my descendants will be and it is for them we need to make these changes. We can't keep beating up the planet and expect to get away with it indefinitely.
