I just graduated undergrad, I’m 22 and even I can recognize how harmful and disingenuous this “Build More Homes Faster” bill is. I’m also a child of immigrants who grew up in a new suburb. Seeing development across Ontario amble on in the same uninspired, profit-driven, near-sighted manner - endless isolated, high-carbon neighbourhoods of single family homes and townhouses connected by multi-national-corporation-packed strip malls - needs words deeper than shameful.
Especially when we have creative, green examples internationally of healthier ways of planning cities. This adds fuel to the climate crisis and I will be doing everything I can to oppose this Bill.
