I strongly disagree with the removal of the lands described in this proposal from the Greenbelt. They are in chunks all over the place and will destroy the integrity of the surrounding Greenbelt areas. They will destroy wetlands, remove habitat from endangered species and destroy wildlife corridors and isolate species which will lead to diminished numbers of the species. An Ontario report came out saying there is not a shortage of land for building houses, that the lack of housing is for other reasons. Please take care of Ontario greenspace for living Ontarians and future generations. The destruction this proposal will accomplish cannot be undone in the future. We are in the 6th mass extinction event and shortly there will be a world conference in Montreal to protect what little wild life remains. Please give this serious issue the attention it deserves. Ecosystem breakdown will inevitably lead to flooding, poor air, earth and water quality. Continue to protect the existing Greenbelt.
