I think this is a horrible idea. The green belt is heavily used for farmland. If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that we need to grow our own food.
Secondly, this does NOTHING to solve the housing crisis. This is to make more money for the developers pure and simple. We NEED affordable condo units within the city of Toronto. Not more single family homes.
