As a citizen of Ontario who has lived in the GTA my whole life, I would like to voice my opposition to the proposed plan to rezone current protected lands in the greenbelt. I believe this not only puts into jeopardy Ontarian food security and our environmental legacy, but also provides perverse incentives to design inefficient, low-density housing that will add congestion to our motorways and needlessly tax our infrastructure. Considering that this proposal has been tainted by rumours of nepotism, I believe it in my interest as a tax-payer and a previous PC voter that this proposal be dropped.
