I'm asking the Ontario government to reconsider the November 4th announcement regarding the Greenbelt and remove the proposal in it's entirety.

First, the governments own Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force has said that there is no shortage of currently designated land for residential development, in the GTHA. Please consider addressing any real problems they identify when it comes to a shortfall in affordable homes.

Second, there is no need for more land to be designated urban. Please consult with any number of expert sources that can provide accurate well researched data. Specifically, everyone needs to know how much greenfield is already designated for residential growth ... both in terms of acreage ( or Ha ) and in terms of how many years worth of inventory

Third, this move is going to unleash so much negative public speculation regarding government and it's relationship to the development industry that it may actually backfire and start to reduce housing unit starts .... if the public trust regarding the new home industry evapourates
