Bill 23 is regressive and harmful to our environment, our agriculture and does nothing to help those who cannot afford expensive housing. I urge you to stop the process on this bill and scrap it. Hamilton citizens and Council decided to freeze the urban boundary and government should listen to its citizens without pulling rank. Stop pandering to developers who only seek to profit off of their own risky speculation. The people of Ontario do not owe developers anything.
Forward-thinking planning which redevelops inside the city should be the focus. We need geared to income housing. This will leave agricultural and natural lands to continue to exist and serve their purpose of feeding people, and allowing species to continue to exist as well as providing clean air and water for our communities.
Stop Bill 23.
