Hello

Bill 23 needs to be repealed . It's been shown to be totally unnecessary to use any Greenbelt lands to address the present housing crisis . Other developable lands exist elsewhere to be built upon .
The last thing the planet needs is more urban sprawl - more linkage more cars more pollution .
It is time to be thinking about a much bigger crisis than the housing crisis - namely the Climate Crisis .
Unfortunately this govt seems to care little about the environment if at all - one of it's first changes was to remove the Environment Commission - now plans to remove the influence of the conservation authorities on planning issues . According to this weeks Globe & Mail the premier states no development will occur in floodplain areas and it will be the developers who make sure that doesn't happen - knowing that 71% of the wetlands in Ontario have already disappeared due to expansion for human use , i don't hold much faith in the premier's words . By the way that same premier also said on numerous occasions that the Greenbelt will never be built on .
According to the latest scientific reports we have 9 to 10 years to change our ways of living if we want to have any semblance of what we consider a normal world - the kind of logic behind Bill 23 absolutely boggles the mind . We cannot continue doing such foolish things - the price we all pay is way too high .
