These amendments are connected to a violation of the Human Rights Code. All Ontarians are protected under the following social grounds:

1. Accommodations - The public should be made aware of how the act will reduce the cost of housing overall.

2. Contracts - Key developers have a major head start. Their contributions to the Conservative government is also a conflict of interest.

3. Employment - Key developers have a major head start on developing the area. This limits competition in all affiliated construction projects, as the precedent of favoritism is set.

4. Goods, services and facilities - Removal of farmland affects Ontario's contributions to food both internally and externally. The cost of food is already sky high, further distributions will cost Ontarians, and those countries which rely on Canada's exports, more than just money, but their health and ability to contribute to the overall economy in any way.

5. Membership in unions, trade or professional associations - Again, with key developers owning the lands there is an unfair advantage and a precedent that does not guarantee fair and equal opportunity for all contractors.

This isn't just about environmental protection. This act is about protecting the integrity of our government's functionality. There is clearly corruption behind this act, and it will not affect Ontario in a positive manner. It will benefit a handful of people and cause major social disruptions across the province. The people of Ontario have a right to be protected from this kind of behaviour.

However, environmental health is also human health, and as such all Ontarians (and Canadians at large) deserve to have proof that the removal of fragile and unique ecosystems will not cause them harm in the long run. There are a lot of scientists available who can offer insight on this point.
