This is the most blatant act of political corruption I have seen in my lifetime.

Multiple investigations have proven that political insiders had advanced knowledge that these previously protected pieces of land would be opened up for development. The citizens of Ontario will never benefit from this decision, only already wealthy land developers. This will not help with housing affordability, in fact it will make things worse by driving expensive suburban, car dependant sprawl.

I could not be more opposed to these proposed changes and the way in which this whole process has happened. Leave the green belt alone, focus on density in existing urban spaces.

Shame on this Government, I hope the true corruption of the back room deal is exposed and those involved suffer the political and financial consequences.
