The proposal to open the Greenbelt for development is a slap in the face to all ontarians. The government claims that it is necessary to accommodate the influx of new Canadians that is forecast over the coming years, yet the properties that new Canadians typically want are not what is going to be built.
This proposal must be defeated. The government needs to listen to the public. Mr ford promised repeatedly not to touch the Greenbelt and this reversal will not be forgotten.
