I do not support this plan for the reasons below.
- this directly goes against a promise made by this government to not touch the Greenbelt. We vote based on election promises. The housing crisis has been a problem for a long time and was also part of promises made so I don't see any changes that would validate now making amendments to the greenbelt.
- available land has not been at the center of the housing crisis. I would be curious to know what alternative plan (without changes to the greenbelt) was explored before presenting this plan. Other areas should be developed long before we even consider cutting into the greenbelt if that ever becomes a necessity.

- there is more than one challenge we are facing and climate, water, green spaces and agriculture must all be protected in any plan and as part of any solution moving forward.
- municipalities are already concerned about the loss of development fees and how those costs would be covered. If these do get passed onto tax payers how would this aid in the housing crisis being that it is one of supply and affordability.

I hope that these comments would be truly considered alongside the many who have voiced their opinion against the amendments. Given the public concerns there should be alternative options considered before any amendments to the greenbelt are made.
