There does not appear to be compelling evidence that allowing this development in the greenbelt is necessary to facilitate more housing. I would rather see innovative approaches like encouraging businesses to support people working from home so there is less pressure to live in the city, or discussion of the obstacles to building the existing approved housing projects within existing urban boundaries.
