Dear Provincial Government,

I’m writing to express my deep concern for your lack of judgement and short-sightedness regarding Bill 23 and tearing up sections of The Greenbelt for housing development. I don’t believe that this policy is in the best interests of Ontarians, as The Greenbelt is some of the most productive arable land we have left in this province, and that is worth protecting for generations to come. Doug Ford is breaking his campaign promise by failing to protect this land, which is shameful. This is not about building affordable housing (which we so desperately need), you must consider re-zoning parts of Hamilton and surrounding cities to accommodate people, before you encroach on this unique animal habitat and productive farmland.

Keep your campaign promise, stay on the right side of history on this issue. Do the right thing for current and future Ontarians, save the Greenbelt.
