If Bill 4 passes, it will eliminate the only climate policy we have. It will cancel pollution pricing. It will erase emissions targets. It will scrap all funding for energy saving solutions. We need something else in place, something better, we need to improve on what the Liberal government put in place to protect the environment. The earth is dieing, we are slowly killing and if we don't do anything to save it, it will be catastrophic. We need to go from a cap and trade system to a carbon tax, but tax the biggest polluters and give them incentive to invest in technologies that will lessen their pollution. Avoid taxing the middle class with a carbon tax on gas but focus on the biggest polluters. That money can then go to the middle class as intensives for making homes greener more energy efficient electric car incentives and more. Laws should be put in place to force corporations to become as environmentally responsible as possible. We are not living in balance with nature.
